The Non-GMO Project was founded in 2007 by concerned retailers committed to GMO transparency. We are proud of our longstanding relationships with retailers and are committed to continuing to find ways to work together and support each other.

While the landscape of GMOs and the grocery industry may look different today than when we started, this has only made the demand and need for Non-GMO Verification stronger. Whether your store has a sustainability or purchasing policy prioritizing Non-GMO Project Verification, or you are just curious for more information about what Verification means and why shoppers are looking for the Butterfly, we are here to support you.
