Our dedicated research team tracks the latest developments in the biotechnology industry. The Non-GMO Project is the only organization tracking new GMOs in development, ready to respond to emerging technology in real time.
Biotechnology is growing fast. In the past 5 years, we've seen the number of biotech developers working in this space increase by more than 300%! Your support helps our work match the speed of biotechnology.
Education
We believe everyone has a right to know how their food is made. The Butterfly Alliance supports education efforts to help eaters, retailers and brands everywhere exercise that right.
For example, our ongoing series of awareness campaigns highlighting new GMOs was sponsored in part by our donors. With your help, we’ve reached millions of people with critical information about the rapid rise of largely unlabeled new GMOs.
Justice and diversity
Your donation helps fund a new program that supports marginalized companies to earn the Butterfly label.
The Equitable Transfer Program is designed to address some of the barriers faced by companies led by Black, Indigenous, multiracial and people of color in gaining greater visibility for their products. The program is part of the Non-GMO Project's commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
