Managing the Non-GMO Message
Consumer concern about GMOs is increasing rapidly in the United States and Canada. As awareness grows, it’s essential for leaders of the Non-GMO movement to communicate effectively.
Research shows that for the Non-GMO message to be successful, simplicity and consistency in communications are essential.
In 2011, the Non-GMO Project began working with other non-GMO thought leaders to develop a Non-GMO Communications Toolkit. Launching in June 2012, the toolkit provides a coordinated framework for non-GMO communications so that our efforts for change will become more powerful.
In an attempt to keep the movement coordinated in the face of new information and changing trends, the Non-GMO Project will be hosting regular webinars and in-person meetings to complement the Toolkit.
The first webinar on Managing the Non-GMO Message was on Wednesday June 13th.
