The Non-GMO Project offers North America’s only third party verification and labeling for non-GMO food and products. The Non-GMO Project is working with dozens of companies selling products in Canada to ensure that their products are Non-GMO Project Verified. Search verified products.

 

Educational Outreach

The Non-GMO Project is committed to ongoing outreach and education in Canada to help inform manufacturers, retailers, and consumers about the risks of GMOs in our food supply. Our recent efforts include attending trade shows and educational events, providing informational materials to aligned organizations to help support their efforts throughout the Provinces, and promoting the efforts of the companies and organizations in Canada that are actively working to support the mission of the Non-GMO Project.

 

Retailer Engagement

The Non-GMO Project’s Supporting Retailer Program offers Canadian retailers simple, year-round programming to connect supporting retailers with conscientious shoppers, and provides an opportunity to support the Non-GMO Project’s work in a way that directly benefits store customers and staff.

Non-GMO Month occurs every October and has been an overwhelming success with over 1,850 retailers participating across the United States and Canada.

Non-GMO month is an excellent opportunity to educate and energize customers about choosing non- GMO verified products. Our customers were very excited to see all of the verified products available to them. Our events and promotions drove both sales and important dialogue around the threat of Genetically Modified foods. From shelf tags, posters and brochures to staff training material the project made it so easy to roll- out our celebrations.  The micro site for retailers offers excellent, streamlined communications and the calendar of events helped keep us on track.
