Excited to be in a role that allows her to talk about food all day, Heather joined the Non-GMO Project’s Client Services team in 2016. Her previous work experience includes sales roles with Pacific Northwest specialty food producers and she is a proud Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Mali, West Africa.
Heather holds a BA in Environmental Studies and Political Science from the University of Washington, and earned her Master in Development Studies from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Her Master’s thesis featured a case study of newly certified fair trade coffee cooperatives in Indonesia, examining the geographical clustering and participant’s experience with certification.
Heather is an unabashed foodie and loves seeking out new flavors, especially those that pair well with coffee, can be brought on a picnic, or help her refuel after a day of paddling boats on the water.
