Growing up in Texas, Cameron developed a passion for conscious consumerism and the environment at a young age. To pursue this interest, she moved up to Seattle from Houston to work toward a degree in Environmental Science at the University of Washington. During her college years she worked with a company that used technologies such as blockchain to create more transparent and sustainable supply chains. This greatly contributed to her interest in how businesses can support sustainable living and empower consumers to make educated choices.
Cameron graduated in 2020, and went on to work at a local farm called 21 Acres where as a team member of the Farm Market, she learned about regenerative agriculture and local food systems. This work led her to her current position at the Non-GMO Project where she is excited to bring visibility to the GMO issue.
In her free time, Cameron enjoys reading, hiking, trying new recipes, and exploring all that the PNW has to offer!
