Product Policies

Adopting a non-GMO product policy is one of the most powerful things you can to help preserve a non-GMO food supply in North America. While many existing non-GMO product policies rely on supplier affidavits, random testing has shown that such non-GMO claims are often not as valid or credible as consumers expect.

By contrast, the Non-GMO Project Standard requires that products meet rigorous best practices, including ongoing testing of every batch of high-risk ingredients. Share your product purchasing policies with your customers! The policies below are templates for you to adjust, expand, and rework so that they make sense for your unique store. Help us track your progress by letting us know when you adopt a non-GMO product purchasing policy.
