Sensient Natural Ingredients Earns Non-GMO Project Verification

California-grown garlic, onion and parsley lines included in certification for rigorous best practices for GMO avoidance

In an effort to further strengthen its commitment to cultivate natural, wholesome products and solutions, Sensient Natural Ingredients has earned Non-GMO Project Verification for its California-grown garlic, onion and parsley.

The Non-GMO Project offers North America’s only independent verification for products made according to rigorous best practices for GMO (genetically modified organisms) avoidance. GMOs are living organisms whose genetic material has been artificially manipulated in a laboratory through genetic engineering.

“Sensient Natural Ingredients leverages trusted relationships with generations of farmers in California in order to provide traceability, stability and sustainability to our customers,” said Ryan Goularte, general manager of Sensient Natural Ingredients. “The Non-GMO Project verification supports the rigorous standards we already have in place and continuously improve upon to deliver the highest-quality natural ingredients.”

In addition to Non-GMO Project verification, Sensient Natural Ingredients’ California-grown garlic, onion and parsley lines meet BRC Global Standards and are certified kosher, halal and gluten-free.
