Cookies, pies and candy canes are in abundance this time of year. Shoppers with a sweet tooth are choosing brands with the Butterfly.*

  • Verified candy products are up 7%, with non-chocolate candies hitting a particularly high note at 12% growth (must be the sugar rush!)
  • Sales of Verified treats from the freezer section finished the year at $429 million. Frozen pies were up by 4%, frozen sorbets rose 8.8% and frozen plant-based novelties (think Verified non-dairy desserts) grew by 5.7%.
  • The Butterfly is strong among home bakers, too, with $560 million in annual sales of baking ingredients. Baking mixes grew by 9%, and pancake/waffle mixes were up 8%.
