RR1 Farms is excited to announce their Non-GMO Project Verified beef to shoppers who are looking for healthy and honest protein that avoids genetically modified organisms (GMOs). RR1 Farms, is a family-operated ranch that specializes in all natural, non-GMO, Nebraska corn-fed beef.
“It took some time to get everything in order but I am extremely happy that we kept pushing forward,” said Allan Ortmeier, President of RR1 Farms. “Understanding that the consumer wants and should have a choice is what pushed us to produce, in our eyes, the best meat there is.”
“In this ever changing world that we are living in, wouldn’t it be nice to take a step back. Look and see the glory that we are all given. Our beef can do that for you. We will provide you with a portal back to the time of innocence. When the food that you ate was good and good for you. Our family ranch, located in Nebraska, will always strive to put the best cut of meat on the center of your plate,” said Allan.
Each steer calf purchased by RR1 Farms is background checked by IMI Global (a third-party verification provider) for compliance with the NHTC, Age & Source, All Natural, and GAP Verified programs from birth. All the cattle are Angus and must pass the Non GMO Project guidelines.
Once all criteria are met, the calves are shipped to RR1 Farms ranch where they are fed only their own home raised feed. All the feed ingredients are tested by Genetic ID (a global leader in GMO identification) to ensure it is free of GMO contamination. RR1 Farms also follows the Global Animal Partnership (GAP) regulations for animal husbandry, and the company is the recipient of the 2012 Red Angus association Grid Master award for outstanding carcass achievement. The beef that RR1 Farms produces is unrivaled for flavor and tenderness and the nutritional content is second to none.
