October 2010 marked the first ever Non-GMO Month, celebrated by nearly 600 natural food retailers across the United States. With thousands of products verified as compliant with the Non-GMO Project Standard, and the verification seal starting to appear in stores, the time has come to start celebrating consumers’ right to choose non-GMO!

Plans are already underway for Non-GMO Month 2011. This year the event will be celebrated north of the border as well, in recognition of the new bilingual verification seal now appearing on products in Canada. Non-GMO Month will also expand beyond store walls, with a coalition of other non-profit organizations hosting an array of activities, all of which will be coordinated from a new website hosted by the Project (launching spring 2011).

Brands interested in being part of Non-GMO Month 2011 should submit an Enrollment Inquiry. If you are already enrolled, watch for news and opportunities regarding how you can get the most out of Non-GMO Month promotions.

Retailers who would like to be part of Non-GMO Month should complete our Retailer Endorsers Sign Up. If you are already signed up, you will be the first to know when registration opens in March 2011.
