Whole Foods Market displays commitment to Non-GMO Project in Times Square & Las Vegas

PRN5-WHOLEFOODS-GMO-ts.20090708164738Last Tuesday, in coordination with its announcement of plans to use the Non-GMO Project’s Product Verification Program in connection with its private label product lines, Whole Foods Market showed displays of the Non-GMO Project logo on the Reuters sign in Times Square and on the Clear Channel sign in Las Vegas. The logo was accompanied by the statement “Whole Foods Market to Label Private Label Food Products Non-GMO.” The display marked an exciting turning point, as mainstream audiences begin to be engaged in a positive way on the non-GMO issue.

Fans of the Project’s Facebook Page have been appreciating the image, with a lot of support being expressed both for Whole Foods and for the Non-GMO Project.
